Rihanna Banned..!!

Islamic leaders in Malaysia are pressing ahead with calls to ban Rihanna (boo hoo) from performing in the country - just weeks after she promised to tone down her forthcoming live concert. The Malaysian government has strict rules when it comes to female performers, artists are required to cover up from their shoulders to their knees. The PAS has urged authorities who issue concert permits in the primarily Muslim country to reject the organizer’s application. (LINK)

Bajan signed to Motown.. damn

Barbados just keeps throwing them out. With Bajan songstresses Rihanna, Shontelle Layne and Livvi Franc signed to major recording labels within the last three years, buzz is that Hal Linton, a well-known artiste, has been signed to the legendary Motown Records.

Linton, a four-time winner at the Barbados Music Awards in 2007 for Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Songwriter of the Year and R&B Single of the Year, is signed to a five album deal with the label.

Even though many companies expressed interest in him, he eventually chose SRP Records, responsible for discovering Rihanna and Shontelle Layne, who are signed to Def Jam and Motown Universal Records respectively.

Doyle said Linton, who is also a writer and producer, tightened up his tracks before they began shopping him around to various labels. Sylvia Rhone, president of Motown, heard him, loved what she heard and arranged a showcase for which she invited the entire company, said Doyle. His sound, a cross between Marvin Gaye and John Legend, really impressed them, she said, and they asked to sign him. Damnnnn when will Guyana's artiste get this kind of opportunities, and I NOT talking about miss no talent Temeka, I talking about real talent like Jomo, Adrian, Celeste, Natural Black, Alabama and First Born. source

Rihanna Bitchy Drama Queen attitude.......

According to Rihanna Daily, London’s popular X Factor Show has been thrown into “complete chaos” since Rihanna allegedly canceled her appearance.

The show’s bosses are furious that Rihanna has given them so little time to reorganize everything, and they feel rehearsing for her US tour is quite a weak excuse. Rihanna’s people only told them yesterday morning, giving them just two days to reorganise.

But Rihanna’s camp is telling quite a different story.
"She was never confirmed for the X Factor. She was only scheduled to fly in for the Jingle Bell Ball and the Royal Variety Performance and was always going to be flying back to the US yesterday."

And now the X Factor bosses are claiming that Rihanna was difficult and demanding. I not surprised, see always comes off like she is full of herself.

X Factor bosses had already been taken aback by a list of demands from Rihanna that even surpassed those of Britney Spears two weeks ago. Her huge entourage had demanded that metal detectors were set up at entrances to the studios, and no one was to speak to the singer unless spoken to first. Like Mariah Carey and Britney before her, Rihanna was to have sole use of Cowell’s green room as her dressing room. Her rider also included the bizarre request of hard-boiled eggs to be available for her throughout the day at any time. ( I don't even want to know what she needs all those eggs for)

Vybz Names his Condoms

Vybz Kartel's latest corporate venture, Daggering Condoms, are set to hit the market next week as the initial shipment of the prophylactics arrived this week. The condoms which are marketed under the tagline 'Playsafe, Ramp Ruff Till Game Ova!! ( Oh Lawd) The packaging is nice as seen above a cool black cube which bears the above mentioned tagline and Vybz Kartel's signature. I am not certain whether to be proud of his business venture or to laugh out loud. It was reported that Vybz Kartel will be attending a number of safe sex health fairs, to raise the level of awareness among young teens and adults about the importance of practicing safe sex. I have to give him props for that however I can not keep a straight face, the name and tag line of this condom is hilarious. It is embarrassing enough for teenagers to go and purchase condoms, now you forcing these youths to say please for " a Daggering or Ramp Ruff " please. (giggles) By the way Dagger some how rhymes with bugger, wrong choice especially if your customer has a tie tongue, it may sound like " wha deh prich fa a ddd..Bugga" I just saying. Caribbean Model Search "Reality Show"

Pulse is presently accepting entries for its popular Caribbean Model Search (CMS) which will commence with the TV reality series - first for Jamaica and then the Caribbean, to be followed by the live CMS Finals, scheduled for August 31 at the Hilton Kingston Hotel. A vigorous screening process is now being undertaken by Pulse chiefs Kingsley Cooper and Romae Gordon, as they short-list the new contenders from the wealth and beauty of talent presented. Entries for the local leg of CMS 2008 are currently being accepted at the Pulse headquarters on Trafalgar Road in Kingston where interested persons are invited to come in every Wednesday at 4:30 pm with their swim trunks /swimsuits and heels. I wonder if Guyana model hopefuls know about this event. The winners will go on to compete against other regional winners of CMS for the grand title. In 2007, the titles went to Latesha Coleman - Jamaica Fashion Model; Alvin Larman - Male Face of Jamaica; Nsombi Watson - Petite Jamaica Fashion Model and Rochelle Notice - CMS Reality TV. It also saw for the first time ever, the assembly of "original Pulse supermodels" including Althea Laing, Kimberley Mais, Angela Neil, Jheanell Azan, Romae Gordon and Lincoln Wynter, all of whom have enjoyed unprecedented success in the international business. In its 30 years, Pulse has effected many historic feats. This includes the number one black model in the world, Jaunel McKenzie; the first Caribbean woman to be on the cover of Essence Magazine, Althea Laing; The first Caribbean woman to conquer the Japanese fashion publications, Kimberley Mais; The first Caribbean woman to grace a Vogue cover, Lois Samuels, Gucci campaign star, Nadine Willis and Carla Campbell, the first Caribbean national to grace the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated. This event should be a stepping stone for Guyanese models, if only they knew about this "Caribbean Model Search."

Sean Paul with Marij!!!!

According to reports Sean Paul was held in Sweden on possession of marijuana. However his publicists are trying to keep up a clean slate. Even Gtvibes has retracted their previous post, "International dancehall artiste Sean Paul has not been arrested, despite popular reports that the artiste was arrested on ganja charges in Sweden. Well maybe he wasn't arrested but he sure was taken to the police station and statements were taken and evidence obtained. (giggles) " According to Natalie Finn of E-Online " This year it was the cops who got busy at the Uppsala Reggae Festival. Sean Paul was charged with marijuana possession Friday after getting swept up in a police raid at the annual Swedish music fest, which takes place in the town of Uppsala, about 110 miles north of Stockholm. Kinda like shooting fish in a barrel, though, isn't it? Anyway, per TMZ, the Jamaican artist was one of 200 to 300 people—including 10 performers—who were hauled off to a local police station for questioning. Police said that they collected evidence at the scene and an investigation into the allegedly smoky shenanigans is currently underway. "

Action at Bounty Killer's property.

The body of a dead man, with gunshot wounds, was found the 'Grung God's' house, in the Norbrook community, St. Andrew. The family of Bounty Killer is still shocked and trying to come to terms with the finding. Police report states that the body of Davian Williams, age 32, was discovered shortly after 11:00 am. The deceased was the owner of Davion Motors which was closed down recently.
The body was found, in the passage way with gunshot wounds to the head and upper body, the police states. Inspectors suspect that the man might have been gunned down on the property. The 'Warlord', who owns the property, is not a suspect in the killing, as he doesn't live there. Suspicions are focussed on the man's car dealership business, as it was reported that the man had a history of collecting money from customers and failing to deliver. Bad man nah lef machine too far.. lol

Vodoo and Rhianna

I know i am late with this but there are stories circulating recently that Chris Brown's mother feels Rihanna used Vodoo on her son. We need to do some thorough investigation to find out if voodoo is a common practice in Barbados, fah real. Probably that is why most of the population got tie tongue and are homosexuals, vodoo at its best. According to Chris' mother the relationship is moving way too quickly, so she feels that Rihanna must have done something to make her son fall so deeply for her. Well, if Rihanna has strong Caribbean blood running through her veins "she know weh fi do fi hold har man, She nuh need nuh voodooo fi do dat".

Missing in Action !!!

Miss Hot shot Mya according to sources was supposed to host a show at a club in Barbados on Saturday, July 5th. But the diva was a no show at Club NXS. Considering that the Barbados Tourism Authority paid for her to come down and fly first class and put her up at Hilton - using TAXPAYERS money. What a damn mess.Mya ain't all that any more, why they fly her in anyways, it may have been easier to bring in Rhianna. But then again i heard she acting up as well.
