Guyana purchases 6 new ambulances, Kudos to the government!! The ambulances which cost about $34M will be attached to the new health centres including the Diamond, East Bank Demerara Regional Hospital and Leonora, Mahaicony and Suddie diagnostic and treatment centres. According to the Minister within the Ministry of Health Dr Bheri Ramsaran, "the purchase of the ambulances is a fulfillment of President Bharrat Jagdeo's pledge to provide emergency care at these and other facilities." I am a bit confused because "to provide emergency care" would entail the act of providing a service and an ambulance falls under equipment not service. Because, even if the ambulance arrives on time at the scene who is to say, that they will receive proper attention and medical care from our local doctors and nurses to save their lives. So I am sure he meant to say "to provide and improve emergency care including facilities and services."
