Dry Humper AKON and Side Kick

Akon started performing after 3 am, along with his sidekick "Muff Head". Because of his late arrival, the audience was promised an all night affair "party till the sun come up". Judging from that picture above, Akon looks like he getting cold sweat just thinking, if he got enough songs to last him till 5:30 am. We all know he probably has 4-5 songs and the remainder are all collaborations with big name artists. Maybe that is why he had Muff Head wear a kilt (skirt) and play with fire to distract the audience, buying AKON some time to think of songs to sing.

Collision in the Skies

Two airliners were one minute from colliding when one of the planes turned away from the other over the Caribbean this week, federal authorities said Friday. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said it was investigating an incident in which a Delta Airlines flight and a Russian-registered passenger jet were heading toward each other Thursday north of Puerto Rico when cockpit alarms went off. The NTSB said the pilot of the Russian plane — a Transaero Boeing 747 — descended 200 feet to 300 feet to avoid Delta Flight 485. The planes were at the same altitude — 33,000 feet over open ocean — and were “60 seconds apart from occupying the same airspace,” said NTSB spokesman Peter Knudson.Knudson said the agency doesn’t have enough information yet to know if the planes would have collided had evasive maneuvers not been taken, or if they would have narrowly missed each other. The two planes were about 180 miles north of San Juan when the near-collision occurred at about 6:30 p.m. EDT. The Delta Boeing 737 — with 152 passengers aboard — was headed from New York’s Kennedy International Airport to Port of Spain, Trinidad.“This was every bit the classic near miss,” said Doug Church, a spokesman for the National Air Traffic Controllers Association. Church said controllers in the Federal Aviation Administration’s air traffic control center in San Juan told him the airliners were on intersecting flight paths at the time of the incident. The NTSB said there were no injuries. There was no FAA radar coverage in the area where the planes nearly collided — as is the case over most open ocean. The NTSB says aircraft are required to remain at least 15 minutes apart when flying through areas with no radar coverage. Delta spokeswoman Betsy Talton declined to provide any further details of the incident. “We are fully cooperating with the NTSB,” said Betsy Talton.

Akon missing in action !

I told you that I would not waste my time with "dry humper" AKON. I was at home in bed flicking from channel to channel, I was able to take 3 naps (doze off) before bottles and cans started making their way onto the stage. People started to get unruly, i can imagine all those ladies in their fancy out fits and their stiletto heels, in agony standing waiting on dry humper akon since 8 o clock. I was informed by customs officials in timehri, that Akon didnt arrive until close to 2 am . Well it is a free show so what you expect, freeness is always come with some sort of catch.... hahah i will blog about his performance after I get in touch with someone who actually stayed to wait on his Black ass to perform or stayed up long enough to tune in on tv.

Megan Vieira

I was forced to watch this show the other day hosted by Megan Vieira. This chick is a hot mess. Somebody tell me why they have her wearing sunglasses on set , in the studio. There is no reason for that. Unless of course they are trying to detract us from looking at her over sized, enormous protuberance of a nose. I just keeping it real, some people think it is sexy. I think it may be a match up between Simone and Megan, who is the worse Host / VJ of the two. lol lol It should be interesting, one is a quiet churchie, soul songstress, with a talent for smelling things while the other is a pretty light skinned, in and out of town/man's girl, who is boring as ASS. Hmmm decisions decisions.

What the F*** "Batty boy Gilhuys gets charges dropped"

Magistrate Gordon Gilhuys

So what the Government telling me, is " after a police officer actually executed his job accordingly, got shot in the process and now the person who shot the policeman in the BACK ,not even getting charged. " What kind of batty ass shit I hearing today. Like the more I read the papers today the more I getting upset. According to reports The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has recommended that no charges be laid against the judicial officer. I got to say in my opionion, DDP got to be a c*** , to make such a comment / suggestion. Is not their ass get shot and taken to the hospital fighting for their life.

To recap on the incident so no one gets confused, with the details and evidence in the case, proving with out a doubt the case shouldn't be thrown out . "On June 26, the rank and his colleagues were on patrol on Woolford Avenue when they noticed a vehicle with tinted windows parked on the roadway. The officers made checks and an argument ensued between them and the driver, who was later identified as Magistrate Gilhuys. It was at this point that the magistrate reportedly opened fire on the ranks, hitting George in the back. The bullet exited through his abdomen and in the process caused some internal damage. The magistrate subsequently made a report at the Brickdam Police Station but he refused to hand over his weapon. However, he parked his vehicle which had about six bullet holes, in the station compound. The magistrate then appeared at the station the following day accompanied by his attorney Nigel Hughes, and after spending several hours, was released on self bail. He also lodged his weapon at the station." They had enough reason to lock the Batty boy up. Please note I have no problem with gays, they are the best friends a girl could ask for. I just pissed as hell as to the handling of this case. And I don't appreciate undercovers with wives portraying a simply life when in actually is a "Dutty Life".

Fine Man, Killed..... Why this Biatch fainting!

Thank the Lawd..... this Fine man got caught. I reading the papers this morning and I could feel close to nothing, emptiness , no remorse what so ever for this man's family. He had created such a fear in Guyanese citizens, I am glad his ass is dead and gone, and we all know his F*** ass not with his maker. And what pisses me off the most is the photo of a young woman (who looks like 13) fainting in front of Lykens. Good for her ass, she should not have had dealings with Skinny, what she is feeling is not close to what those people felt when they lost numerous members of their family all at once.. Police should hold on to her ass and arrest her ass too for harboring a criminal. I feel no pain no remorse for this family, because of all the pain they caused hundreds of families around Guyana. Throw all those who knew and helped Fine Man/ Skinny in a pit and shoot them all . finish the story.. dont waste no time because I know I ain't want no returning saga or part 2 of this story.

Guyana's cleanup campaign

Guyana's clean up campaign that begun a week before CARIFSTA.Had a humorous side to it.
While driving along the East Bank road/ highway two weeks ago, I noticed men diligently planting seedlings along side the center barrier. Now I not too sure if they expected them to grow in time for carifesta but they really and truly not making any sense. They better be careful the highway pedestrians ( cows, donkeys and horses) don't start to nibble on them. And the variety of plants, is also in question they look like suspect Bush.. I don't know how they expect people to cross these roads safely with big ass bushes blocking their vision. And it is only the other day they were quarreling about how many road accidents occurring on this Highway. What do you expect if the government putting obstacles to block peoples vision while driving, we already got pedestrians to swerve from everyday. Nice small, short, non bushy flowers would do the trick , if they wanted the place to look colorful and carifetaish. I just saying.....

Online shopping ..hmmmm interesting

Word on the street and in the newspapers of course, that Guyana is introducing an online department store for shopping in Guyana. The launch (strange to make this an event) was held on Monday at the Savannah Suite of Le Meridien Pegasus Hotel, Georgetown.
The website will enable local residents and those in the Caribbean and further overseas to shop for their relatives back home, eliminating the hassle of packaging, shipping and clearing boxes and barrels and getting prompt delivery. "Now that is what I talking about."
Giftland Office Max proprietor carried out a survey and claimed "the survey also revealed that the retail prices for items in Guyana were significantly lower than those in North American, and on the West Indian and European markets." Hmmm i not too sure how i should take this statement. Maybe because half of the goods are assembled and made in China, hence cheaper commodities you have to obviously demand a cheaper price, not to mention it will break/fade/tear up in less than a month. Beepat going all global now, he better make sure that his business is legit and that the name (at least portion of it ) is not stolen from another multi million dollar company in the states. I smell lawsuit in the making......click here

Source: The Guyana Chronicle

Is it a He or a She ? Look Alikes

I have to admit, I do read Living Guyana on a regular and they had posted an article it may have been two, about Guyana bootleg Naomi. And Bootleg Naomi always ready to pose for Gtvibes to advertise her services. Everybody talking about her but I ain't too sure if it is because she has jugs the size of grapefruits (and i talking them big ass grapefruits) or just because she looks like a transvestite version of Naomi Campbell. But for your viewing pleasure, you can decide for your self. Bootleg better be careful Naomi dont come down to Gt and assault her/his ass with a cell phone, everybody know her head ain't good.

Chinese man charged for illegal entry

Oh me goi, Mr Lei Dahai apparently entered into Guyana via Springlands, Corentyne. The 32 year old was charged with illegal entry and forgery. Y'all leave the man alone he probably just came to Guyana because he wanted to make it in time to witness Carifesta. Please be advised the picture above is not Mr.Lei Dahai, I just added it for theatrical purposes and to put a smile on some of y'all vex faces, this morning.

Mega Concert

Like someone heard I was criticizing all those "thousand and one," super concerts and they decided to be different and call it a MEGA concert.... Damn that's good at least they separating themselves from the crowd. So when someone says they went to the MEGA concert, for Carifesta you not forced to ask them ,"Which one?" like a fool. Anyways I not hurting my head to go and see NO AKON. All his songs sound the same , and after listening to about 3 songs i start to get headaches, from his chip monk voice. Don't worry with that innocent face, y'all know "Black doesn't crack" them Africans always claiming to be at least 10 years younger than they actually are. I sending out a keen warning to all the parents out there, you better put your young girls under lock and key Saturday night, we all know he likes to dry hump young teenage girls, remember the Trinidadian incident. click here to see Akon being dry humped by a pastor's child. I keep telling y'all about these Reverend and Pastor children....... every last one of them are Whoes.

What the F@!!@@@

What in the world was she thinking. The picture says it all. This was taken at the opening ceremony of Carifesta.

Opening Ceremony " Jaguar vomiting out performers"

Hmm, it took me a while to decide whether I liked this idea or not. Nah, it was a hot mess. I give them a A for creativity, a F for effort and a A for Nastiness. Damn, first off this means that all those dancers had to climb into the Jaguars Ass before they could exit out of the front cavity(the mouth). Nah they could have thought of something better, people hanging and dangling in the sky or something, rather than have a Jaguar regurgitate the dancers. Or maybe i just bias after looking at the Olympic Opening Ceremony in Beijing.

"Rupee a Disappointment"

Rupee was a hott ass mess. I was so disappointed, I didn't know what to say or think about his performance. Lawd, he come out boring as hell, bussing one set of notes on stage, he start singing other artiste songs, and then he attempted to dance and looked like a white chicken in heat. Actually I retract that statement, he look more like a chunky ass white cow trying to dance. He packed on a few pounds since the last time I had seen him. Then to make it worse, he left his jacket closed the entire night, I know his ass was burning up like a pig in that outfit. Sweating bullets , he end up taking pictures with people and got a towel around him to wipe off all that sweat. What does he expect, if he got on a blasted winter jacket (zipped up all night) in the tropics. Rupee need to stop singing century old songs and start working on new ones. Lame ass....... picture above shows Rupee attempting to dance.

Super Concertsssssss

Now, I was of the impression that the reason they called it a Super Concert is because there will be only only one of it's kind, comprising of amazing performers and artists from various islands. But is now I realize we holding like 5 Super Concerts.. I confused, I cant decide which one is the Most "Super fullest" Concert of all, decisions decisions... Well y'all all know my ass love to talk. I made an effort to scavenge tickets to the show, just like I promised, I would.(smile) I went to my free concert and I was impressed with Dave Martin and the Trade Winds, they were really nice and with entertaining performances, you could understand what they were singing about and at least the songs had a theme and were funny. The short, lanky, thin boy named Anaconda really surprised me , he got a nice voice and thing, he sound better than Rupee to me. Rupee was a hot mess and I will dedicate an entire article for that, so I not going into too much detail right now. However , the boy Anaconda, someone should seriously look into this youth. As for the Barbadian, the chubby artist, he was really good as well, even taking time to continuously promote his new song, "Big Girls" . Mr.Vegas didn't do it for me at all , he came on stage as though he just came from church in a GQ suit but as the night progressed he slowly began to strip off his jacket, shirt, tie and suspenders.... no lie. To get money from this event I would have thought that Banks would invest in numerous outlets to sell liquor, in order to get back some of their expenditure, apparently their management didn't agree with me. The event only had two banks tents where patrons could buy alcohol, so you stood for hours waiting on a drink. By the time you got a drink you sober again, maybe it was suppose to be a tactic to make sure everyone leaves sober. Anyway I am sure it cost them millions of dollars in loses... stupidy... stupidy and they probably ain't even realize it.

Digicel Promotion

I was looking at " Hits & Bamsie"station and they were airing the Digicel win a scooter competition. The winner of one the promotions didn't seem too moved, when they pulled up with the scooter. With three tractors parked outside and a landrover and 4 wheel drive pick up in the drive way. It suddenly, some how seemed unimportant and insignificant that she won a scooter. The kids seemed more excited than she did. I wont be surprised if she promised the children the scooter as a play toy to ride around the yard. Yall know how country people stay. lol

Police on Bikes

Police on bikes, I like the idea. Now they can diverge the traffic when chasing a suspect. I wonder what will happen if the person has a gun, " I sure the police man will jump off the bike and take cover, because lately even the lowest of low criminals got a gun." It look as though guns just as afforable as a "rubba slippa" I personally would have preferred to see the police men in tights, but that is just my preference. From the picture in the papers earlier this week it looks as though they are young school boys on bikes. I must say it is a good disguise...

Rainy Carifesta

Oh lawd, just another hump in the road. Just when you thought nothing else can go wrong. Our cricket weather comes into play."Rain Rain go away Carifesta want to play. " I hope they have something in place to combat this weather. I know the stadium ain't got a retractable roof, i wonder if they will put "tar poling" up.... and have the participants hold it.. (giggles) I just saying in Guyana anything is possible. I know they did not preplan, just in case some thing goes wrong, layman's terms it is called plan B. Hindsight is needed when planning such extravagant events, all the officials probably looking at each other in dismay. This look to me like whole day rain...

Scarce Tickets

The scarcity of these Carifesta tickets was the talk of the town this morning. Everyone rambling about who got tickets and who ain't got. I damn sure ain't got any either, but i damn sure working my magic to get my ass in though, y'all better believe that. What i don't understand is why they didn't put a price on the opening and closing ceremony tickets, I know the government is desperate to get large numbers of people to come out and support the event , but Lawd God. Insider gossip informed me that Linden supposedly only received 60 tickets in total.. hahahhahahah and keep in mind, that it is one of the larger towns in Guyana. The Caricom Secretariat even held an internal raffle because they only received 100 tickets. Shoo... good thing i ain't working there, I would have rigged that draw, make up fake names, claim is the new cleaner or driver and collect on their behalf. lol

The Post Office and Snow White

Recently, CANU has discovered a drug ring where the so called exporters have been sending their products through the mail in cartoon post cards bearing images of Cinderella, Snow White and her 7 dwarfs (funny enough) and even Aladdin. Just when you thought it was impossible, these cunning exporters prove that with a little creativity and determination any thing is possible. This should be an inspiration to us all, lol. The funniest part of this story occurred last week when one of these post cards was sent to the wrong address in the US and was returned to Guyana, only for our authorities to discover the cocaine packets which carry a market value in Guyana of US $4,000. These exporters need to be more prudent when choosing cards, they certainly can't afford for their mails to be returned to Guyana. I hope CANU finds the seven dwarfs who were involved in this act, they already found snow white.. (laugh)

Why should Usain Bolt celebrate?

Now what I cannot comprehend, is why the International Community criticizing on Usain Bolt for his manner of celebration after he broke the world record in the men's 100 and 200 meter ? I read that even the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Jacques Rogge stated that "He should shake hands with his competitors and not ignore them" and "He'll learn that sooner or later. But (he's) a great athlete, of course". I have seen Bolt acknowledge and even childishly play around with his competitors. Many American athletes have celebrated their win in a similar manner and I am yet to see anyone hurl criticism at them. Usain is indeed very childish and his antics may just reflect his true age, lol but I think the criticism is undue and unprovoked. All athletes have that air about them, that comes with the territory even the most humble of competitors have an egotistical and bigheaded attitude while competing. I hope his ass keeps on breaking records left right and center and let those crazy Americans send their scientists to test the yams and the diet he grew up on in Jamaica. Those Americans always amaze me, just can't accept that they lost fair and square. Americans always finding fault in everything, it looks childish and it is simply annoying, and that is the character of a sore loser and unsportsmanlike behavior at its finest. Booo Hoo

CARIFESTA Freeness

Well, I don't know about y'all but I love freeness. So I trying to show my face in all those different events in and round the country. With all this last minute preparations I hope that this show ain't " Free" for a reason. I see garbage still on the streets, place still looking stink although I see them throwing paint on the roads and trying a thing or two. I don't know what these "million and one" visitors will think.

TV Lawsuits flying Left, Right and Centre

I know if my ass were paying US $60,000 to broadcast the Olympics, I would be pissed off too, if other entities doing the same but they ain't paying a dime. Hell yeah I would take them to court. We all know Guyanese love cheapness but damn, catching bootleg transmissions is still not legally or ethically correct. (giggles) I wonder what Television Station will be next to face the heat ?

Caribbean Model Search "Reality Show"

Pulse is presently accepting entries for its popular Caribbean Model Search (CMS) which will commence with the TV reality series - first for Jamaica and then the Caribbean, to be followed by the live CMS Finals, scheduled for August 31 at the Hilton Kingston Hotel. A vigorous screening process is now being undertaken by Pulse chiefs Kingsley Cooper and Romae Gordon, as they short-list the new contenders from the wealth and beauty of talent presented. Entries for the local leg of CMS 2008 are currently being accepted at the Pulse headquarters on Trafalgar Road in Kingston where interested persons are invited to come in every Wednesday at 4:30 pm with their swim trunks /swimsuits and heels. I wonder if Guyana model hopefuls know about this event. The winners will go on to compete against other regional winners of CMS for the grand title. In 2007, the titles went to Latesha Coleman - Jamaica Fashion Model; Alvin Larman - Male Face of Jamaica; Nsombi Watson - Petite Jamaica Fashion Model and Rochelle Notice - CMS Reality TV. It also saw for the first time ever, the assembly of "original Pulse supermodels" including Althea Laing, Kimberley Mais, Angela Neil, Jheanell Azan, Romae Gordon and Lincoln Wynter, all of whom have enjoyed unprecedented success in the international business. In its 30 years, Pulse has effected many historic feats. This includes the number one black model in the world, Jaunel McKenzie; the first Caribbean woman to be on the cover of Essence Magazine, Althea Laing; The first Caribbean woman to conquer the Japanese fashion publications, Kimberley Mais; The first Caribbean woman to grace a Vogue cover, Lois Samuels, Gucci campaign star, Nadine Willis and Carla Campbell, the first Caribbean national to grace the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated. This event should be a stepping stone for Guyanese models, if only they knew about this "Caribbean Model Search."

Pompey did Good.

I tuned in the Olympics yesterday and all the blasted people talking about is USA runners non stop. Anyways, it was one of the Women's 400 m semi finals, and to my surprise I realize Guyana was being represented. Alianna Pompey ran her ass off, she started so good, even the commentators who didn't even mention her name at the start up line, started to comment on "Pomp-hay running good and Pomp-hay from Guyana is coming around the turn strong" the commentator even forgot about her US athlete, that she was bigging up before the race. In actuality Pompey ran a strong 200 meters but on the straight away she was in second place then drifted to third then, when they were at the 50 m mark she faded into fourth. However she really ran well, she even beat the American chick that the commentators were bigging up at the starting line. She really did good and I am proud of her, she made it into the semis and even made the commentators take notice of her. Sadly I don't think she made it into the finals, because the top two moved on to the finals. However I have to say, Kudos to you Miss Pompey!!!!! the best Guyanese performance I've seen so far. To have a look at the times she ran click here.

JaMzOnE Faces !!@@@!!

Okay those are all the options for Miss Jamzone. No comments I not even gonna start to talk about all these ladies "Dutty Characta" or "whorish ways." I will only comment on the winner's indiscretions. Stay tuned.. lol

Guyana featured on BBC

Picture: BBC- Science and Nature

Guyana
was featured earlier this month on BBC. The documentary, " The Lost Land of the Jaguar" apparently received fantastic reviews, some claim the documentary is the first to depict Guyana in a positive light. According to GINA, "Guyana’s unspoilt, unique beauty has once again received notice as the BBC has done a three hour documentary that is subdivided into one hour slots showing the explorations made by an expert team of international naturalists and film makers as they journeyed north of the Amazon into the uncharted jungles of Guyana." Caribbean Net News also gave us a small snippet on their site click here.

If you would like to have a look at the documentary, the team and photos click here very interesting, I recommend taking a look.

CJI Airport got " Blackout "

Wow isn't that a damn shame, this happens just when we supposedly welcoming millions of visitors. (giggles) Their logo is " The Gateway to South America" no lie , (lol lol) apparently the gate ain't got lights. Well at least we letting them know up front what to expect when they get into GT... no lights....Government needs to use their initiative and have a backup plan. Just imagine if this had happened just before an international carry (airplane) is scheduled to land/arrive at night, and the plane doesn't have enough fuel to go to another airport. What would they have done then, what was their plan B ? Hmm Good question. "They would have probably had all their staff with torch lights lined up on the runway, y'all know we backward." Aviation authorities should look into that.

Since we on the topic of light, maybe now the Government will look into this issue of light in Guyana. With endless rivers, creeks, waterfalls and streams, maybe now the Government will take hydro seriously... or maybe not. GPL wont be able to rob the poor man anymore. Take for example GT&T , Y'all see how yah GT&T bill , like half the amount it was a year ago before "The Digicel invasion." Good clean competition is always good. GPL need a good ass whooping and then you will see how they get themselves in order.

Niall ,7th in Qualifying Heat

Poor child , I am not going to criticize his performance, because guess what, he actually improved on his previous record time. So that counts for something in my books, at least he ain't bring dead last... Kudos to him. I hope he takes this as a learning experience, and realizes how much more he needs to train, if he aspires to reach that high level of performance like other athletes around the world. Maybe, by the next Olympics his ass will pass the qualifying round.

Sean Paul with Marij!!!!

According to reports Sean Paul was held in Sweden on possession of marijuana. However his publicists are trying to keep up a clean slate. Even Gtvibes has retracted their previous post, "International dancehall artiste Sean Paul has not been arrested, despite popular reports that the artiste was arrested on ganja charges in Sweden. Well maybe he wasn't arrested but he sure was taken to the police station and statements were taken and evidence obtained. (giggles) " According to Natalie Finn of E-Online " This year it was the cops who got busy at the Uppsala Reggae Festival. Sean Paul was charged with marijuana possession Friday after getting swept up in a police raid at the annual Swedish music fest, which takes place in the town of Uppsala, about 110 miles north of Stockholm. Kinda like shooting fish in a barrel, though, isn't it? Anyway, per TMZ, the Jamaican artist was one of 200 to 300 people—including 10 performers—who were hauled off to a local police station for questioning. Police said that they collected evidence at the scene and an investigation into the allegedly smoky shenanigans is currently underway. "

A Crispy Psych Ward

Well it is a damn shame, that now more mad people will be forced to the streets. Only in Guyana do they keep psychiatric patients in wooden buildings. Who does that? It is like giving a child matches and a kerosene bottle to play with. Note to self, in the future, if you have a group of mentally challenged and mentally disturbed individuals cooped up, it is advised to make sure you have the proper facilities and instruments in place to avoid or prevent harm to ones self or others. Hmmm.... they may have missed that in psych class 101. I am surprised it hasn't happen before. Well for what it is worth Guyana made headlines in the Caribbean see here and MSNBC (American news) see here. According to the AP "No one was injured in Wednesday's blaze, which spread quickly through the wooden, colonial-era building (even they realized we were asking for this catastrophe by housing unstable people in a wooden building). CEO Mike Khan said several patients escaped and were later found with relatives. He said he suspects patients started the fire but did not provide further details. All 13 patients (I vex, he didn't feel shame to admit it was only 13 patients in this big time psych ward) were temporarily moved into a long-term ward. Authorities are investigating the fire as well as the killing of a 23-year-old-woman who was beaten to death in the ward a week ago by other patients. " Well if mad people can coordinate and actually execute an escape, I hope the prison inmates not taking any notes.

Guyanese in Beijing

I've included links of Guyanese who are participating in the Olympics for Guyana. We have a larger contingent that I expected. A number of Boxers, Henrick Pelswijk , Allicock and Clive Atwell. We should probably keep an eye on the boxers considering Guyana won its only olympic medal in this event in 1980, Click here .
We will see action in the water,by Niall Roberts who is competing this evening at 18:33 in the Men's 50 m Freestyle, heat 6. Click here to see his qualifying time and his competitors scheduled for that race.
Two men both with the last name Bascom are also competing in the Track and Field events. Click here and here.
Marian Burnette is competing in the Women's 400 m, Heat 2 on 15th August 2008 at 11:18 am. Only lawd knows if this is our time or Chinese time... Adam Harris is also scheduled to compete, August 18th click here to see his heat. Pompey with a very outstanding record, click here and Analisa Austin click here. We even have Bacchus in the Taekwondo event representing Guyana, see here.

Job Keeping or Seeking advice ( with the advent of the lie detector)

Since jobs are already hard to come by in Guyana under normal circumstances. Now let alone finding one which offers a descent salary including plenty of job/employee satisfaction. We all know that" phenomenon is at an all time low". I just trying to keep all y'all in the loop, you never know with this government. Ive included this as a bonus just in case you may need to take a lie detector test to get or keep your next job.

Polygraph Testing ..Damn What's next...!

Well, not that I am any expert but there are ways to beat the Polygraph Test/Lie Detector, just click here. I can't believe work places will start to implement this. LOL
I tell you, it is just like Guyanese to implement something they just now discovered, to every aspect of the country. It doesn't work that way, according to Wikipedia " A polygraph (popularly referred to as a lie detector) is an instrument that measures and records several physiological responses such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration and skin conductivity while the subject is asked and answers a series of questions, on the theory that false answers will produce distinctive measurements. The polygraph measures physiological changes caused by the sympathetic nervous system during questioning." Now here is the important part, "Polygraphs are often used as an interrogation tool with crimal suspects or candidates for sensitive public or private sector employment." Okay let me break that down in layman's terms, only if there is an on going or suspected crime some one can be forced to take the lie detector test or when someone is attempting to get a high profiled job ( meaning Police/ law enforcement official/ Army officer/FBI agent/ the justice system employees etc). So i hope the government doesn't make it mandatory for cashiers, sales clerks and cleaners to get them too. No joke yah never know with this government , they will implement it , in all the places it is not needed.. LOL

Things to Know: Source: Antipolygraph website

Missing Olympics coverage !!!!! Where the Guyanese?

I had a look at the Guyana Times Newspaper (I am sure the other three newspapers all have the same content) this morning and to my dismay, I am only seeing pictures of individuals who are medalists from other countries, Republic of Korea, The United States etc. Damn Guyana, we do have a few individuals who are at the games representing us. Regardless of their chances to medal, the fact that they are among the elite few who get to participate and experience the Olympics, in it self is an accomplishment. Their outstanding excellence in their respective sports, should be recognized and commended. "I still waiting to see pictures of them at the Olympics taking in this once in a life time experience, I still waiting to see a write up of the people who representing GT, I still waiting to hear when they will be participating in their respective sports, so the entire country can tune in to see." Even if they are not expected to win at least our country will be represented. "Damn Guyana, get it right and give recognition where it is deserved, schuks."

Clean up for "CARIfesta in a HURRIfesta"

Has anyone noticed just one week before CARIFESTA, the government has the urge to clean up our environment. Government should realize by now, if they do regular clean ups through out the year, it won't be such a hassle to clean up the big ass pile of mess, when big events are scheduled to come into town. The only valid argument the Government may have, as to why they don't do regular cleanups , would be due to labour costs (which aren't high in any case, but we will look over that minor detail), but guess what, they can access free ass labour, by using all those individuals who commit petty and minor crimes, and put their asses to work. Let them pay off their debt to society. Doesn't take a frigging genius to come up with this idea. Lawd...... Why must we be so last minute in every aspect of our lives. I tell yuh Procrastination is a Sin.

Do you agree with me or not ?
Yes No

Scandalous "The Sports Entertainer"

This is an old time story come back again, since many of you, may easily figure out the people involved. Rumor has it, that a popular sports entertainer is known to have an affiliation with a certain young lady, who just happens to be the same age as his oldest child. This entertainer is good looking, a dashing dresser at that and has been known to associate himself with women in all 3 counties of Guyana. However, I must say, having a relationship with a girl this young, is too shameful. I will also commended this young lady for pursuing her education and not falling into the statics of being a "taken care of girl". Although old people say "old man juice is age yuh" so take heed. You can get a glimpse of this young lady, every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights at the popular Palm Court trust me when I say, she will be there. Any guesses on y'all part, who this entertainer or young lady might be?

Bernie Mac (Didn't have AIDS)

Aight man, I know that we promised Caribbean and Guyanese news and gossip, however I know a lot of caribbean people knew or at least heard of Bernie Mac and appreciated his work. Since Saturday there has been speculation around Bernie Mac's death. I keep hearing Guyanese claiming he had AIDS. Oh lawd when anyone dies of Pneumonia or Tuberculosis, right away we saying they had AIDS. The man suffered from Sarcoidosis. According to Wikipedia, " Sarcoidosis is an immune system disorder characterized by non-caseating granulomas (small inflammatory nodules) that most commonly arises in young adults. The cause of the disease is still unknown. Virtually any organ can be affected; however, granulomas most often appear in the lungs or the lymph nodes. (hence, pneumonia) Symptoms can occasionally appear suddenly but usually appear gradually. The clinical course generally varies and ranges from asymptomatic disease to a debilitating chronic condition that may lead to death." For your viewing pleasure I've included one of his stand up shows, enjoy and have a laugh.

Adam Harris in Action ... Damn !!!

Well we spoke of Adam Harris' talent, have a look at his last competition. I have to admit I did get a few calls and numerous messages with reference to Adam Harris, especially after I reposted the article and included an upgraded picture of him. So for your viewing pleasure and for all those ladies who need some " Eye Candy" have a look at the 2008 Big Ten Outdoor Championships, which Harris took part in earlier this year.

Escalator 101 (with commentary)

I wanted to give you a blast from the past. I just remembered all the fun I had watching people attempting to step on and off the escalators in GT. ( giggles) So i hope you enjoy today's Movie premiere it is entitled " Riding the forbidden Escalator ." Now the mall has turned into a new liming spot for teenagers, I am sure all of them conquered their escalator fear by now. Just for your viewing pleasure I've enclosed another video. ( giggles)

Facts and Roses "Out and About"

Michelle Cole and her side kick, his name doesn't need mentioning (he's not important), were Out and About at The Courtyard ( Palm Court) last weekend. She looked good and i have to credit her for that. There was a portion of last year she was looking a "hot mess." But her out fit was on point and she was looking fine. (He's not important/ side kick) better be careful someone doesn't swoop her up from him, because we all know she can do better.

$100 M for Forensic eqipment and Guns

The Government is talking about $100 M for forensic equipment and guns, very interesting. I hope they don't lose the bulk of the equipment like in the past, with the missing AK's. It doesn't make sense to me, you invest millions of dollars and you still have mismanagement and a bunch of crooks to over see operations. Like I always say " Stubbornness is a bad thing" We all know, nothing will get done, and we end up with, missing and broken equipment and the cycle will come full circle once again. Like this thing is just one set of kiss ass after the next and no change where there is need for.

Boring Buses ....No fun

According to The Guyana Times " A new law, banning any music in public transportation, was yesterday passed in the National Assembly dealing a severe blow to some minibus and hire car operators while at the same time bringing much relief to commuters, who have frequently complained about noise nuisance in public transport. The Summary Jurisdiction Amendment Bill was yesterday presented by Clement Rohee, Minister of Home Affairs. It prohibits a driver of a motorbus or hire car to play or be allowed to play any music in the vehicles while plying its route or parked in a public place." Failure to comply is an offense punishable by a fine of not less than seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500) nor more than fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) and imprisonment of six months. A second or subsequent conviction is punishable by a fine of not less than $10,000 nor more than $20,000 and imprisonment for twelve months." Now how boring will it be to take public transportation now, some people looked forward to get updates on the latest tunes, i feel some bus drivers kept themselves awake with this noise. No music in buses or taxi's damn wont that be a boring ride. Even elevators in the states have music to pass away the time. So you are not bored to death.
"Don't worry dem buss man real genius, they probably ain't know how to spell, but they know how to get around the law." Don't be surprised if they incorporate head sets into the ride and start charging extra for their use.. lol lol lol I just saying.

Who's better in "Law enforcement" - Police or Angry Citizens

We continually talk about police brutality, but what about community brutality. The citizens of GT now taking out their frustrations on other citizens. They seem to be forming their own policing group and " mannersing" all unlawful individuals in our society, on their own terms. Lawd, have y'all seen the poor man who get (a buongie) beat up for trying to leave the scene of an accident, in today's newspaper. Damn I still trying to figure out who worse, the police or the angry folk who dealing with rise in food and gas prices..... Hostility on the loose.

Adam Harris Responds !!!!!

Adam Harris, Guyana's Olympic hopeful, responded to our post taken from Orin Davidson's article in the Stabroek News .(see here) "Alright man. this actually is adam harris. and i got a bunch of my friends sendin me this blog. first off, i havnt updated my myspace profile in 2 years. second, im not going to be like the other people that come from the states and drop guyana when im done. unlike them i take pride in my roots, and i will proudly represent guyana, however i will not able to do so until im done with college because it interferes with my scholarship. AND as for being chased by the cops, it does not happen "on the regular" as a matter of fact it hasnt happened for about 5 years since i was in highschool, and liked the thrill of the chase with my friends. that was back when we were kids and enjoyed sneaking out of the house and things that kids do for fun. plus I'm sorry for takin fordes spot, i didn't even know till i read it in the newspaper...i even talked to my mom about how bad i felt. and i feel that with his ticket being punched he should have still been able to come." According to the Michigan Daily "But no one knew just how good he was until this year’s Big Ten Outdoor Championships. In that meet, Harris posted a world-class time of 20.75 seconds in the 200-meter dash, good enough to qualify for the U.S. Olympic trials. In Harris’s mind, the answer was simple. " he said “I just thought it’d be nice to run for my roots.” In all honesty I am sure he is genuine and knowing Guyanese people already , as soon as the race start they backing the Guyana man regardless of whether or not he ever set foot in GT. That is just how it is, I know my ass would be jumping up and down for him, once he wearing GT colors. When all is said and done , if he does medal or perform well, everyone will be claiming he is Guyanese and got Guyanese blood in him. Y'all know we Guyanese love to claim people, once they become famous and thing. (click here for examples) I just keeping it real and by the way kudos to Adam Harris...
