Caribbean Model Search "Reality Show"

Pulse is presently accepting entries for its popular Caribbean Model Search (CMS) which will commence with the TV reality series - first for Jamaica and then the Caribbean, to be followed by the live CMS Finals, scheduled for August 31 at the Hilton Kingston Hotel. A vigorous screening process is now being undertaken by Pulse chiefs Kingsley Cooper and Romae Gordon, as they short-list the new contenders from the wealth and beauty of talent presented. Entries for the local leg of CMS 2008 are currently being accepted at the Pulse headquarters on Trafalgar Road in Kingston where interested persons are invited to come in every Wednesday at 4:30 pm with their swim trunks /swimsuits and heels. I wonder if Guyana model hopefuls know about this event. The winners will go on to compete against other regional winners of CMS for the grand title. In 2007, the titles went to Latesha Coleman - Jamaica Fashion Model; Alvin Larman - Male Face of Jamaica; Nsombi Watson - Petite Jamaica Fashion Model and Rochelle Notice - CMS Reality TV. It also saw for the first time ever, the assembly of "original Pulse supermodels" including Althea Laing, Kimberley Mais, Angela Neil, Jheanell Azan, Romae Gordon and Lincoln Wynter, all of whom have enjoyed unprecedented success in the international business. In its 30 years, Pulse has effected many historic feats. This includes the number one black model in the world, Jaunel McKenzie; the first Caribbean woman to be on the cover of Essence Magazine, Althea Laing; The first Caribbean woman to conquer the Japanese fashion publications, Kimberley Mais; The first Caribbean woman to grace a Vogue cover, Lois Samuels, Gucci campaign star, Nadine Willis and Carla Campbell, the first Caribbean national to grace the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated. This event should be a stepping stone for Guyanese models, if only they knew about this "Caribbean Model Search."
